Medical guide for seafarers (mandatory)
The Medical Guide for Seafarers was produced in close collaboration with Radio Medical Denmark and is the authorized medical handbook for Danish-flagged vessels. The guide provides a simple and practical overview of what to do in the event of illness or injury when the nearest medical facility is many nautical miles away.
It is a requirement that a physical copy be available on board. It includes 19 instructional videos on a USB stick.
Upon purchase, the medical guide is also available on the @SEA platform.
The Medical Guide for Seafarers is authorized by the Danish Maritime Authority and was last updated in 2026.
The medical guide is available in Danish and English.
